A community event is planned in Washington to recognize Child Abuse Prevention Month.
The Indiana Department of Child Services, Prevent Child Abuse Indiana and the Kids First Trust Fund will host the event tomorrow from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at East Side Park, rain or shine.
The event will include free food, giveaways, K-9 demonstrations and emergency vehicles, along with activities aimed at raising awareness about protecting children.
