GUESTHOUSE MOTEL REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT APPROVED
FOR STATE BLIGHT FUNDING
PETERSBURG, Ind. – The Indiana Economic Development Corporation Board of Directors
approved $228,400 for the blight redevelopment project, Guesthouse Motel & Coin
Laundry redevelopment. B3Bakery LLC is committed to redevelop the Guesthouse Motel
with 20 motel units available and a laundromat by the end of 2026. The total investment is
$1,142,000. The motel property sat vacant and deteriorated for over 15 years. Indiana’s LEI
Blight Program funding will be used for motel renovations including roof, windows, siding,
utility improvements, and renovation materials.
Guesthouse Motel owner, Braden Henson stated: “We’re incredibly grateful to the IEDC and
to Ashley Willis with the Pike County Economic Development team for supporting this
project. The Blight Funding Grant is helping us bring these properties back into productive
use and move more quickly toward opening both the motel and the laundromat for the
community. It has allowed us to invest in quality laundry equipment and efficient systems
for the motel so that when we open, people will have a clean, reliable, and welcoming
place to stay and do their laundry. We’re proud to be part of bringing these buildings back
to life and contributing something positive to the community.”
Several Pike County EDC board members are excited to see the investment in this
redevelopment project. The motel and laundromat have been needed in the community for
many years, and thrilled to see this anchor business be revived and reopened in our
community and region. The Guesthouse Motel & Coin Laundry plan to open their doors
before the end of the year.
