A Jasper man has been arrested following an investigation into two reported incidents of domestic battery and strangulation. Police say 30-year-old Yosmani Brito Suarez was taken into custody on June 27 after a victim reported the abuse, which allegedly occurred in the presence of three children. Following an investigation by the Jasper Police Department, Suarez was apprehended at his workplace, interviewed, and booked into the Dubois County Security Center. He faces two counts of domestic battery in the presence of a child under 16 and two counts of strangulation.
