Princeton Couple Sentenced for Stealing Over $1.8M in Mail Fraud Scheme

A Princeton couple has been sentenced to federal prison for their involvement in a large-scale mail theft operation in Evansville. Michael Jerome Wright, 45, received a 12-year sentence after pleading guilty to multiple charges, including mail theft, identity fraud, and possession of a machinegun. Cortney Lashea Young, 36, was sentenced to two years for mail theft and illegal firearm possession. A search of their Princeton apartment uncovered hundreds of stolen checks totaling more than $1.8 million. Both will serve three years of supervised release following their prison terms.
