The Daviess County Treasurer is reminding residents that the first installment of property taxes is due Monday, May 11, 2026. Treasurer Jamie Chapman says tax statements for 2025 payable in 2026 were mailed out on April 1. Anyone who has not received their statement is asked to contact the Treasurer’s Office as soon as possible at 812-254-8677. Payments can be made online, by phone, or in person at the Treasurer’s Office, located in the Daviess County Government Center. Credit card payments include a processing fee. Those paying by mail are encouraged to send payments early, as mail received on the due date may not be postmarked until the following day, which could result in penalties.
