The United Way Day of Caring is underway across the county today, with more than 580 volunteers stepping up to give back to the community. Participants can be seen throughout the area wearing bright red shirts as they take on a variety of service projects. Those efforts include landscaping, cleaning, repairs, and other improvements for local organizations and public spaces. The day began with a kickoff breakfast at 8 a.m., sending volunteers out to make a positive impact across the county. Residents are encouraged to keep an eye out for volunteers working throughout the day.
