Emergency crews responded to a vehicle fire Monday morning on Interstate 69 near the 76 mile marker by Elnora. Dispatchers received the call just before 8 a.m. reporting a Jeep with a fire underneath it in the southbound lanes. Officials say the situation also sparked a grass fire along the east side of the roadway, with a second fire reported in the northbound lanes. Multiple agencies, including local fire departments, EMS, and Indiana State Police, responded to the scene. Crews were able to extinguish the fires, and no injuries were reported. Authorities remained on scene for a short time before clearing, and traffic was impacted in the area during the response.
