A 25-year-old Otwell woman was arrested Saturday night on an operating while intoxicated charge in Dubois County. Indiana State Police say Trooper Andrew Recker stopped a speeding vehicle on U.S. 231 near Huntingburg on April 11. The driver, identified as Gabriella R. Vanalstine, showed signs of impairment during the traffic stop and was taken to the Huntingburg Police Department for a chemical test. Vanalstine was later transported to the Dubois County Jail, where she is being held on bond. She is charged with Operating While Intoxicated, a Class A misdemeanor. Authorities remind that all defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
