A traffic stop in Washington led to the arrest of an Ohio man on multiple charges, including drug possession and operating while intoxicated on May 2nd. Indiana State Police say Trooper Aaron Guzman stopped a pickup truck Saturday evening on East National Highway for following too closely. During the stop, the driver, identified as 64-year-old Robby D. Roy of Toledo, showed signs of possible criminal activity, prompting a K-9 search. Washington Police assisted at the scene, and a K-9 alerted to the presence of narcotics. A search of the vehicle reportedly uncovered suspected methamphetamine, controlled substances, and prescription drugs. Troopers also observed signs of impairment, and Roy was taken to Daviess Community Hospital for a chemical test before being transported to the Daviess County Jail. He faces preliminary charges including possession of methamphetamine and a legend drug, both Level 6 felonies, along with misdemeanor counts of possession of a controlled substance and operating while intoxicated.
